PAINTER
Since 1982,
Maia has taken part in 90 exhibitions in France and abroad
and has had about 15 individual exhibitions. In 1998 the artist
established herself in Puymeras and created the workshop Elaia.Maia runs workhops from February to October. With the partner Pierre Schneider, they will make you share their passion for painting and help you to develop your creativity and individual style.
TRAINING
The week long workshop is conducted under the expert guidance of Maia. You will be part of a small group (maximum 7).
You can also try for few hours. The workshop is designed to acommodate beginners or established artists and will take place either in the worshop or in the surrounding countryside.
Maia would like to help you discover novel ways with colours and other aspects of using watercolours.The artist, herself, found inspiration from American art-currents. Maia will paint near you so that you can appreciate her technique. Many paintings are displayed in the web-gallery.
The courses run from Monday to Friday. The schedule is as follows :
9.30 am to 12.00 pm
15.30 pm to18.00 pm
Please bring your own material.
... Between sessions, you can relax near the villa's swimming pool.

The worshop Elaia situated in the Vaucluse (Provence) is within a short distance of the charming village of Puymeras and 5 kilometers from Vaison la Romaine..
With the majestic Mont Ventoux in Provence as your backdrop, experience the pleasure of painting in the calm and serenity of the superb gallo-roman style Villa Elaia, nestled amongst ancient olive trees.
Vineyards, olive groves and fascinating scenery will provide endless source of inspiration for your paintings as will the exceptional light that is reflected in so many famous artist' paintings.
